Dianthus - Double Spotty
The Dianthus ‘Double Spotty', Dianthus x 'Double Spotty, has a wonderful red rose flower with white spots. With its grassy blue-gray foliage and profuse blooming time, ‘Double Spotty’ is one not to miss. Dianthus ‘Double Spotty’ has a plant spread of 8-12” and a height of 6”. Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity. Dianthus - Purple Bouquet The Dianthus 'Purple Bouquet', Dianthus Barbatushas, a lightly scented, lavender bloom. They have a maximun height of 20" and a spread of 10" to 12" . Dianthus 'Bouquet Purple' grows long straight stems to 24" in length. This unique trait has made it a popular plant for commercial cut flower growers. Plant in full sun in fertile well drained soil in either beds or containers. "Bouquet Purple' is quite heat tolerant. Flowers are lightly scented and excellent for cutting. It is well suited for backyard landscapes and cutting gardens.
