The Fuchsia ShadowDancer® Marcia, 'Fuchsia hybrid', is a very early blooming Fuschia with exceptional uniformity and compact growth. The cherry red sepals with violet corolla flowers perch well above the bushy small leaved foliage. This Proven Selections plant blooms all summer long. They are great plants for greenhouses, window boxes, baskets, homes, and flower beds. Fuchsias should be planted in warm, sheltered spots in well-drained soil. These plants have dark green leaves often with red stems. The flowers, which are produced during the summer and early fall, are droopy and come in many colors. Fuschia is one of the Hummingbirds favorite flowers. Fuchsias do not like to dry out. Keep the soil moist to the touch from spring through autumn. In many parts of the country (and especially if planted in a hanging pot) the fuchsia will require daily watering. For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial. ... more info

Licorice - Petite The Licorice, Petite Licorice, 'Helichrysum petiolare', has cool dusty white leaves. This plant will let you do a little to get a lot. Licorice plants are exceptionally easy to grow, requiring little fertilizer. The Petite Licorice has fine foliage and is a compact grower. This plant is an excellent choice for hanging baskets or mixed containers. It's especially useful in mixed containers as it tends to grow outward which makes a planter or basket look larger. Licorice do best in a well drained soil, either in beds or containers. Petite Licorice produces small flowers that are insignificant and can be removed. For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial.
