Grass - Purple Fountain
The Grass 'Purple Fountain Grass', Pennisetum setaceum, is a fast growing, clump grass. It has purple foliage and purple foxtail-like flowers. This plant is only an annual in northern climates. It makes a great speciment plant and can be used as a center piece in a container. Plant in fertile well drained soil in full sun after all danger of frost has passed. Yarrow - Yellow With fern-like aromatic, silvery to gray-green foliage, it is considered to be one of the best yarrows in any landscape. ‘Anthea’ has good texture and form and looks great in mass plantings and cottage gardens and is more vigorous and heat tolerant than Achillea ‘Moonshine’. This Yarrow does well in average garden soils, but prefers lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. (Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils. ) Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant of hot humid summers. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide every 3-4 years.
