Helen's Flower - Mardi Gras
The Helenium Mardi Gras, 'Helenium', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, also known as Sneezeweed or Helen’s Flower, is a very showy multicolored perennial. The flower colors are somewhat “tie-dyed”, orange-red-yellow, with a flower size of 1-2” and green foliage. ‘Mardi Gras’ blooms from late June into early August. It has a plant height of 2’ and a spread of 25”. ‘Marid Gras’ needs to be planted in full sun and in a well-drained area. The lush, almost black-burgundy, glossy leafed foliage will turn to a deep rich Mahogany color and turns even darker and more lustrous during the winter months. It is excellent when used for borders and in mixed containers, as well as in areas where grass is shade-challenged.
