Hosta - June
The Hosta 'June', Sport of H. Hacyon, displays leaves with a green edge and are have gold colored centers. The fragrant violet flowers flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta’s are not known only for their flowers. With a plant height of 16” and a spread of 32-36”, this Hosta provides bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta ‘June’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. It was the 2001 Hosta of the Year. Iris - Autumn Circus The Iris Autumn Circus, Iris 'Autumn Circus' is a ruffled petal iris that has white flowers with blue purple veining and a beautiful blue ruffled edge. With a velvety texture and beautiful evergreen foliage, it has a plant height of 34” and a width of 18-24”. Autumn Circus blooms in June and then, unlike most iris, blooms again in late summer and into fall. It is an easily grown Iris. Autumn Circus prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate some afternoon shade. This Iris needs plenty of water throughout the season to continue to looks its best. Autumn Circus will make a great addition around pools, ponds and water gardens, and for mass plantings. It can also be used in difficult banks and preventing erosion. They also make magnificent cut flowers and are resistant to deer.
