The Iris Batik, Iris x germanica 'Batik' has stripes and splashes of white on dark purple flowers. With a velvety texture and beautiful sword-shaped foliage, it has a plant height of 24”. Batik blooms in spring and is an easily grown Iris. It prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate some afternoon shade. This Iris needs plenty of water throughout the season to continue to looks its best. Batik will make a great addition around pools, ponds and water gardens, and for mass plantings. Evening Primrose - Lemon Sunset The Evening Primrose Lemon Sunset, Oenothera longifolia, is a new Oenothera unlike any other. The large, 4” soft yellow flowers matures to a red sunset colr thst is complimented by its rich red stems. It has a plant height of 3’ and a spread of 36-48”. ‘Lemon Sunset’ will flower its first year, June to August. Oenothera requires full sun and needs a good drainage site. Try planting ‘Lemon Sunset’ with Salvia, Achillea or Columbine. For a wonderful sun perennial, one will not want to leave ‘Lemon Sunset’ out of their garden.
