The Lantana Patriot Sunbeam, 'Lantana "Patriot" Sunbeam, is an annual shrub like plant that will produce beautiful bright yellow flowers. Lantana is an excellent choice for beds or containers. The Sunbeam Lantana has attractive foliage and the foliage is topped with vividly colored flowers. The brightly colored flowers of Lantana are excellent for attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. Plant Lantanas in full sun and well drained soil in either beds or containers. Lantana prefers moist soil, but is drought tolerant. Pinch off spent flowers to promote new flower growth. All Lantana's contain a toxin that if ingested may cause stomach discomfort. Some contact with foliage may irritate sensitive skin. The Lantana is also commonly called a Shrub Verbena. This plant will tolerate shady areas and is considered to be frost tolerant. The Diascia Whisper™ Apricot likes moisture and a lack of water will cause it to lose it's blooms. Keep well watered to spur blooming.
