Little Leaf Linden

The Little Leaf Linden tree, 'Tilia cordata ', is a very good lawn shade tree and is ideally suited to home situations. It's pyramidal to pyramidal-rounded shape and dense foliage make it an excellent landscape tree. The leaves are dark green, turning yellow or yellow-green in the fall. The small, fragrant yellowish flowers appear in June. Littleleaf Linden is widely used as a street tree and for residential landscaping. The small, yellowish summer flowers are highly fragrant. Small, round seeds are produced and they persist well into winter. The Little Leaf Linden is fairly tolerant to a wide range of site conditions and requires little maintenance. Autumn Gold Ginkgo 'Autumn Gold' is an all-male cultivar typically growing at maturity to 40-50' with a symmetrical, broadly spreading habit. Gingko trees are also called Maidenhair trees. Today the tree is often planted in cities because of its remarkable resistance to urban smog and to insect pests. The Autumn gold is grown in average, medium wet soil in full sun. Also tolerant of saline conditions, air pollution and heat. Adapts well to most urban environments.
