There is simply no pumpkin with better flavor or sweeter flesh for making great pies, soups, muffins, casseroles, and many other very nutritious dishes. Sugar Pie pumpkins store for months. Plant in the spring 2 to 4 weeks after the last average frost date. In warm climates plant in February or late summer for fall harvest.
