The Splendins 'Sea Thrift', Armeria maritima, has wonderful pink flowers that contrast well with its dark evergreen, tufted foliage. This plant is very floriferous in spring and early summer. 'Sea Thrift' is an excellent plant for use in rock gardens or edging. Armeria is salt tolerant and are often grown along the coast line. Hosta - On Stage The large pointed leaves are deeply veined and are green with a varying shades of yellow-gold in the center. The pale lavender flowers of this fast growing hosta appear in early summer on 4 foot stems, however, hosta’s are not known for their flowers.
