Viburnum - Northern Burgundy® Arrowwood

Northern Burgundy® Arrowwood Viburnum, viburnum dentatum 'Morton', is an upright, rounded, multi-stemmed shrub that displays creamy white flowers. The branching is upright and spreading, eventually arching over at the tips. It blooms in late June above the glossy, dark green foliage. Northern Burgundy has a spectacular fall color display with clusters of blue-black fruit hanging among the burgundy foliage. Its fruits attract birds. The fall color development is highly dependent on the individual plant; some plants turn yellow; some plants turn red to reddish purple. Northern Burgundy is very easy to grow and requires full sun to partial shade with soil that is from dry to fairly wet. It is easily transplanted and can grow 10-12 feet in height and width. This viburnum is useful for its extreme durability in borders, screens, parking lots, and mass plantings. Viburnum tend to be multi-season plants with ornamental value throughout a large part of the season. ... additional information

Snowball Bush - Common The Common Snowball Bush, Viburnum opulus, also called the European Cranberry bush produces white flowers in late spring. In the fall, the leaves turn a wonderful burgundy reddish-purple. About the same time, the bright red, attractive berries ripen, and persist on the plant throughout the winter. Birds, particularly Cedar Waxwings, are very fond of the berries, and can often be found snacking during the winter. Grows best in full sun to partial shade.
